The interior restoration will create a unique Historic House Museum and Guest House. 
Visitors will see where Stickley created the first “Craftsman” interior in his own home.
Overnight guests can experience the home as a home, as Stickley intended.

Naming Opportunities

 

 

Highlights of the Interior Restoration – Phase Two

 

 

Phase One focused on restoring the exterior of the Stickley House. We now turn our attention to completing the restoration of the home’s interior.

 

 

 

  • Restoration of the main floor historic spaces – Entry Hall, Living Room, Dining Room, Inglenook and Main Stairway.

  • Restoration of historic Upper Floor details – Chestnut Doorways, the one original bathroom and original flooring.

  • Restoration of all four historic fireplaces including two Grueby tile surrounds on the 2nd floor including in Mr. Stickley’s Study.

  • Create five upper level Guest Suites with private baths, each suite decorated in period decor. 

  • Build a fully-accessible rear addition to include a new at grade entryway, an elevator, public restroom and space for educational displays.

  • Create a commercial-grade kitchen and adjoining Breakfast Room for use by overnight guests and for event catering.

  • Complete upgrade of all electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, fire and sprinkler system.
